I was arrested and cash was taken from me. The judge ruled that I am entitled to my cash back. My lawyer is a top lawyer who makes a lot of money. He has been acting like his job is done, and he's been avoiding even talking to me for the last 2 months, so I'm trying to get my seized money back without his help. But I have no idea who to call, or who I need to talk to.

  1. Get ANOTHER lawyer to help you get your $$ back.  The procedure is to obtain a certified copy of the court's order & deliver it to the head of the police agency that has actual possession of the $$.  When they refuse the next step is to seek an order holding that person in contempt.  You're going to need a lawyer for this.

  2. Go to the courthouse and ask for a copy of the Judges order ant then take it to the police station. Ask for the senior officer there and show him the order and have him sign and time date it. If it is not acted upon within the hour take the order back to the court and ask to see the Judge. I am willing to bet it does not get that far. Judges can get real nasty when people ignore their orders.

  3. Call the Judge's office, and ask about the proceedures required.
