  1. I think 16,but not sure.

  2. Different shelters will have different rules.

My local one is 18, but kids over 13 can volunteer with a parent.

If you are too young still, you can do things that aren't directly in the shelter.  Like do a fundraiser or a "walk for the animals".  Call your shelter and ask how you can get involved.

  3. Yes,call your local animal shelter,i think it is 16.

  4. call and ask!

  5. i know over here, (south cali) you have to be a park ranger or something like that. but you can always donate stuff for the animals! shelters always exept blankets, food, and toys for animals!

  6. It depends on the shelter. I am a volunteer at an animal shelter and the way ours works is, anyone from 12 to 15 can be with an adult while they volunteer and anyone older can volunteer on their own. it is ALOT of fun! you may try a small or private shelter, they may let younger people help. The county shelters have to follow certain guidelines set for them.

  7. It depends on your age. Check out your local animal shelters website. You should be at least 15 and over.

  8. Maybe you should phone the shelter and ask, as it varies from place to place.

Some are sixteen with no limits, some are sixteen with limits, some are eighteen for insurance reasons, some are fourteen with parental permission and overseeing/limits.

So phone where you plan to go and ask. It's nothing to be scared of doing.

  9. Depends on where you live.  Some require you to be sixteen, some require you to be adult.  Some don't allow volunteers.  You'd have to contact your local animal shelter and find out what their rules are.
