  1. The circumference is 2(pi)r = 94.25 cm

    3000rpm = 50 rps

    Since 1 revolution is 94.25 cm, 50 revs is 4712 cm.  Speed is therefore 4712 cm/s.

    Multiply by 3600 and divide by 160934.4 to convert in to m/h.  105.4 m/h

    Particles separate on the basis of their mass. Because F = ma
