do you think it could work?

i have a compaq laptop, and my dad suggested for long drives we could connect it to a 12 volt cigarette lighter in the car...

is it possible for a cord to fit into our charger hole to connect to the cigarette lighter? does anyone know or have any suggestions?

would love to hear from someone soon, thanks..

  1. there are adapters that stores sell (radio shack probably has them), and it converts the cigarette lighter to a 12 volt outlet, so you can plug anything with a household plug into it.

  2. yes you can! if you re living in the states then look for "black & decker"  inverter .thats what you are looking for http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-100-W... now as long as car adaptors from laptop companies... they dont exist

  3. There are two ways...

You can get an inverter for your car, that plugs into your cigarette lighter, and gives you two normal looking wall plug outlets.  Some laptops have an accessory called a "travel adapter" that allows them to be plugged directly into a car lighter, an airplane seat, or even europe..
