A late start for Adam Scott at the Northern Trust Open
Adam Scott will be playing his debut tournament of the current season at Northern Trust Open, at Riviera Country Club, in California.
"I may have to introduce myself to a fair bit of people," Scott said. The golfer has not started his season yet, and will be showing his first appearance to the world.
He is in the news to be the best this season and someone very likely to fulfil his dreams. He also hopes to make a solid return to Professional Golf Association (PGA).
This is the fifth tournament of the PGA Tour this year. Scott is far behind his schedule.
He was supposed to be at Hyundai Tournament of Champions, but his tonsils issue became the reason for his absence.
Now, he is fully recovered and motivated to perform impressively at Riviera. He had faced the same issue at least five times this year and this was his first.
He left with no option other than to skip or to perform poorly on the course, while suffering from the tonsils pain.
"It was the first time I had it during a tournament," he said. "I figured if I had it during a major, it would be one less chance of getting one".
The 31-year-old Australian professional golf player is passionate for the game. His commitment and passion is at its peak.
He never took a lay-off for such a long time period in a decade, like the one he did at this year’s start.
It is about three months now, since he showed his appearance on the course. The greens of different courses helped the mature Australian greatly.
There is no better place for him to relax or to gear up his health except on the golf course.
"I'm really ready to play, and that's important, too," Scott said. "I've been starved of tournament golf at the moment".
He is the winner of the 2011 episode of WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. This amazing victory was by four strokes lead over the current world no. 1, Luke Donald and the American, Rickie Fowler. He displayed his best there.
The eight-time PGA Tour winner is also hoping this year to be his best. He is going with a ratio of one win in a year.
Nevertheless, he is confident this year and also hopes to deliver his best after three months of lay-off.
Scott is left with ample opportunities in the current season and there are many chances to record multiple victories.
All the field players of Northern Trust Open will be facing tough competitive strokes from him at Riviera Country Club.
