He is 32 and has a wife and 2 kids and lives in southern Long Island, NY. I'd like to spend about $200. Maybe a gift certificate to a family-friendly place like the Cheesecake Factory? Or a steakhouse on Long Island for himself and his wife? My firm's policy is to provide this service for free, but still I appreciate his work. Thanks.

  1. There are endless possibilities of what you could get him but I think to make that gift count and to show your appriciation, you might want to spend a little time talking to him and find out what his interests or hobbies are. That will narrow down the choices and make the gift really special. Maybe in the course of your conversation, you might find you can return the favour by offering some of your expertise/services, and/or finding a new buddy. Good luck

  2. i would say tickets to an amusement park  for the whole family!!!

    hope this helped

  3. Gift certificate for Chuck e Cheese. Just kidding! How about a gift certificate for The Outback restaurant or The Texas Roadhouse if you have one in the area?

  4. That's a great idea for the services that he provided for you.  Gift Certificates are always a safe way to go.  I recently purchased a brass doorknocker with the family's last name engraved on it.  Depending on how close you are, the more personal the gift should be.  Dinner for him and his wife sounds good too.

  5. Take him to Score's, but I dont think $200 will go very far there. Or take him to a Yankees, Mets, Giants, or Jets game Whatever he enjoys.

  6. The absolute best thing you can do is to handle his phone calls during his next vacation.  That's not as hard as it once was because he probably will take his cell phone on vacation.  but it is so nice to have a live voice in the office and he will be thrilled with your offer.

  7. Check out gifts in these categories at this online store for some ideas, order there or make / pack your own similar items together:

  8. If he is into sport the both of you should go out for a game!  No family, guys night out.

  9. Your Idea of a gift certificate to a restaurant  is a wonderful idea!  I personally would opt for  the evening out alone with wifey. If they don't have a sitter ..send them yours ...on you of course !

If they are a stay at home family /couple opt for a  gourmet wine and cheese basket  and tuck a good movie in.!

  10. Steaks, wine, scotch... all good ideas.
