  1. agree -- what he was referring to was an organization is made up of people and it is only as good as the people within it -- so to be a leader you focus on the people not the organization!!!

  2. i agree to a point.  the people do make up the organization and your first obligation is to them.  but i also think you have to keep an eye on the organization, it's goals and it's mission.

  3. Agree with Peter Ducker

    This does not say that you are not to understand and respect the Goals and Missions of the Organization/Company.

    You absolutely must keep the companies mission and goals as your first priority. <If you want to keep your Job>

    But you and your people will be what makes the organization work.

    Sometimes as a Leader, you or your people may not always agree with all policies of the organization.

      But you as the Manager must comply.

    Therefore it becomes your job to figure out how to work around these obstacles and still continue to motivate your staff to complete their goals to the best of their abilities, by doing the right thing.

    <humor helps>

    I know we have all seen this in action..

    Question yourself

    ''Why is it one branch office/store of the Same Company has excellent customer service and higher $$ volume than another Branch?

    It all has to do with great Leadership and motivation / training of Employees -

    You want to know the Mindset of the employees???

    Look to their Manager/Leader

    Sometimes the Manager / Company sucks... But the ''team leader'' in the group - is just that -  a leader !  And leads their team to victory.
