Does anyone know if there are any plays of MacBeth dramatized and recorded and distributed in CDs, or any form of video, be it online or sold at stores. If anyone knows how to get hold of the play (it doesnt matter who performs it), kindly let me know. Thank you!

  1. Since there is no copyright on Shakespeare's plays any taped production (even a high school or community theater) production is legal.  If you're really dedicated, you can probably You Tube the scenes one by one and get most of them.  But I'd recommend going to your local library.  The BBC did productions of all the Shakespeare plays about 20 years ago, and most libraries have the complete set to lend.  If you really want to buy it and you've got some time, you can go to Amazon dot come and type in the title and find a used DVD.  As far as professional versions go, there is a pretty good one with Ian McKellan, and there is a modern-setting Australian version that I haven't seen in addition to the BBC one.  Just avoid anything that says "Verdi" or you'll end up with the opera and not the Shakespeare play.

  2. There are many adaptations of MacBeth.. several of which are on DVD.  Check Amazon (if in the US). or your local video store or library
