  1. a balloon

  2. ice

gaseous vapors (its quite a list, half of the elements do that)

almost everything when heated will expand, if you're measuring by hte cubic meter, the density of the item will drop slightly as the temp. is raised.

  3. An object would decrease in density not weight .

Water turning to Ice  takes up more space per unit volume so ice floats.

Water turning to steam would blow up a balloon but the water in the balloon would still weigh the same. The balloon gets bigger so there is less water per unit volume. The balloon now has less density.

Some of The Elements that have lower densities when frozen

    Arsenic

    Bismuth

    Gallium

    Germanium

    Silicon

  4. Anything that increases in size, but not mass, like ice, or maybe balloons would weigh less on earth because of the bouyance of the atmosphere.   As things are heated then, if they expand, they will weigh less.    By that thinking a piece of iron will weigh less when heated.

Edit:   They will also have less density, but that was not the question.  The bouyancy of the air is the key.
