  1. Chiropractors ALWAYS "find" a "subluxation".

    On everyone.

    Everytime.

Even if you just left another chiropractor's office after getting "fixed" (aka "adjusted").

It is a made-up "diagnosis" that they use to justify their "treatments".   It is the reason the intelligent world does not trust the vast majority of chiropractic practitioners.

“According to chiropractic, a "subluxation" is a misalignment of the spine that allegedly interferes with nerve signals from the brain. However, there is no scientific evidence for spinal subluxations and none have ever been observed by medical practitioners such as orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, or radiologists.” (The Skeptic’s Dictionary)

  2. If you are suffering from stiffness in your back, aches, pain, and muscle spasms, then it is fair to say that you may have subluxation in those particular vertebrae that are fixated or "stuck" and those particular segments are not moving correctly.  It makes perfect sense that if you have tension and spasms in your back, those muscles are going to yank on their attachments on your spine and cause things to not move as smoothly, therefore causing pain.  And also think that if you received an adjustment only once, the chances of those segments may go back to their old position since those muscles in that area may flare up, so repeated sessions are necessary.  Typical treatment plans are 6-12 visits, but if you are not experiencing some relief within 3 visits, then the doctor will need to change treatment plans or consult with an MD for pain medication and muscle relaxers.  Also bear in mind that if you had a serious injury, treatment plans may be longer because you may need additional therapy, adjustments, and rehab exercises.  Chiropractors use many physical therapeutics (Ice/heat, electro-therapy, ultrasound), nutrition, rehab, massage, and spinal manipulation to get you pain free and back to normal function.  Always choose a chiropractor that is willing to work side by side with a physician (MD/DO).

  3. Well.  I certainly am an advocate of Chiropractic care.  I do not like the term subluxation.  It is not quite accurate and there are so many definitions by old school and modern chiropractors.  Some rational and some not.  Now you may have found a good chiropractor.  But do be wary of chiropractors that do exams in public and tell you that you have a problem.  Now I am not saying he is a bad chiropractor,  Just be careful.  If you tell me more about what he said and why you may want to see him I would be happy to give you my opinion as to whether he is the right person or if you should undergo care at all.

  4. Subluxation is defined in a book called "subluxations of the human spine and pelvis" by Bill Ruch.. Published by CRC press. The most prestigious medical text publishing company. Opus is wrong and obviously biased. If you have never taken care of your spine, you have subluxations. Would you expect to go to a dentist after 30 years of never brushing your teeth and being suprised you have a cavity? Would all dentists be wrong if they all dx a cavity?

  5. Treatment is indeed beneficial.

Without it the alignment is likely to worsen.

  6. To a hammer everything looks like a nail.

  7. Whenever you're dealing with your spine being out of alignment, treatment is always beneficial. If you let a misalignment go too long, it can get worse over time and may impact your body even more than it already has.

I've worked with Chiropractors with a few different problems, and I can easily tell the difference of when I have the treatments vs when I don't have the treatments

  8. Chiropractic treatment has definately worked for me.

  9. from personal experience i think it is very helpful. you may not feel the effects immedialty and thats why people don't often believe. go for a couple weeks and give it some time,

  10. A subluxation is a rather terrible affliction that the gullible suffer from when visiting chiropractors. Although not serious, it can lead to rapid weight loss in the wallet area.
