A look at the 19th Hole Tournament Player Club in San Antonio - Part 2
Hole #6
This hole stretches on 403 yards. The hole is a severe challenge right from the beginning. There is a huge tree planted on the tee, which hampers the shot, as it seems to catch the ball as soon it takes a plunge.
Therefore, it is advised to play a draw on the tee forcing the ball onto the left. The fairway is free from threats, unlike the green, which is severely sloped and bends right to left. Therefore, keep the ball on the outer periphery of the green to avoid
rolling into trouble.
Hole# 7
The seventh hole is a par-3 with a green, which is located on a hill. Careful assessment is required while driving the ball towards the green, as the wind pressure and the slope team-up to card a bogey or at most times, even worse. Therefore, it is better
to make an accurate club selection, which would not only help in reaching the green safely, but also make the scorecard look good.
Hole# 8
This is another uphill approach, which has a green located at a hill. There are trees on the left and bug trap on the opposite side. Most players, in an urge of avoiding the trees, get themselves trapped in the V-shaped bunker, which eventually leaves them
with a double-bogey. Meanwhile, the fairway becomes narrower as it proceeds towards the green.
Hole# 9
The closing hole on the front is a clear pathway to a birdie. There is not a single obstacle in the way. The fairway is clear, which helps in reaching the green with one stroke. However, the real threat sits on the sides of the green. The rough is is long,
slender and does not allow making a mistake.
Hole #10
The tee sits on the top, hence it is easier to strike the ball, wherever, one pleases. However, make sure the target has been predefined and the ball lands on the area, which has no rough or else the player has to wedge the ball towards the green. For the
second stroke, choose the right side of the fairway, as it is clear from traps unlike the left side that has long grass.
Hole # 11
Like the tenth hole, the tee is located on a higher altitude, but is slightly different, as it has a fairway which is severely sloped from left to right. Keep the tee shot on the left side, as it would lead straight towards the green. However, beware of
the bunkers that are sitting on all the sides waiting for the ball to come and stay for some time.
