Ronald Koeman managed to guide the Rotterdammers to a second place finish last season, and has strengthened his squad further to go one step further this term.
After finishing second on the league table last term, Feyenoord Rotterdam would be aiming to be crowned Dutch champions at the end of the ongoing 2012/13 season.
Ronald Koeman, the Rotterdammers head coach, was expected to lure few new faces to De Kuip Stadion before the ongoing summer transfer window slams shut.
Bettor.com takes a look at the key departures and arrivals at De Kuip Stadion this summer.

The 27-year-old was one of the most influential players at the Rotterdammers’ heart of defence. The Dutch stopper was plying his trade at De Kuip Stadion since joining the club in the summer of 2006 from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar.
Vlaar’s rock solid showings, his aerial ability, and his composure to stop imposing strikers make him one of the best central defenders in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753. Following his consistent showings for the past couple of seasons, it was certain that the 27-year-old
would be moving abroad this summer.
Aston Villa offered a lucrative deal, and the Rotterdam giants cashed in on the central defender.

The Moroccan international played an integral role in his side’s second place finish at the end of the 2011/12 campaign. The 27-year-old’s presence at the centre of the park was extremely influential, netting two goals while setting up plenty more last term.
Aston Villa were keen to add a quality defensive minded player, and successfully managed to lure El Ahmadi to Villa Park earlier this summer. The Rotterdammers will certainly miss his presence in the midfield.

His impressive performances in the last couple of seasons, netting 15 goals while providing a bagful of assists in 61 league matches, garnered him interest from several clubs. However, the 26-year-old opted to join the Rotterdammers.
The Dutchman’s arrival at De Kuip Stadion has boosted the Stadiumclub’s attacking flare in the midfield.
Harmeet Singh

However, the Norwegian international opted moving to De Kuip Stadion to enhance his skills further before making his dream move to one of the elite European clubs.

After selling Vlaar to Aston Villa earlier this summer, the Rotterdam giants were keen to sign a quality centre-back, and saw the 32-year-old as a perfect replacement at the heart of defence.
The former Hamburger defender only joined Malaga at the start of the 2011/12 campaign. However, after the Andalusian side hit by financial and management crises, the Dutchman opted to leave La Liga outfit.
Although, the veteran defender could have joined any elite European club, he decided returning to Dutch top tier by signing with the Rotterdammers.
