A lot of users think this years Summer Slam will suck ?

Question

At times I look at the card and think the same thing. My question is what needs to happen on Sunday in order for it to be a success ?

BQ- Are you ok with the idea of Edge winning on Sunday ?

It needs to be a tremendous card from front to back. With most people already hating it, it needs to be Wrestlemania-caliber in order to prevent people from coming on here and immediately saying "worst PPV ever" (and some users will still do just that). Undertaker vs. Edge should definitely close out the PPV, because if Cena and Batista close out the PPV then some of the fans will leave with a bad taste in their mouths simply because of Cena and Batista, even if it's actually a good match. Unfortunately, the past Summerslams haven't been that good, so the trend will likely continue. I'm just going to keep my standards low and hope for a good time.

I don't mind Edge winning. In fact, I like his change of character, it's tons better since he's actually fighting for himself instead of having his cronies interfere.

I really don't think it looks all that horrible,it's not great,but it could be worse!!I will be happy if the Cena/Batista match ends cleanly,w/ someone coming out a winner,no DQ's or interruptions!!

BQ:I would be OK w/ Edge winning,of course I would rather see Taker win tho!!

I don't think it will be as bad people say. For Summerslam to be better I think something like Randy Orton's return and the reformation of Evolution will save Sumemrslam.

BA: I guess that would be ok. But I think Undertaker is most likely to win

I have to admit if you told me this would be the card at Summerslam at the start of the summer, I would've rejected the notion of the no.2 WWE PPV  being so lame. I've tried to adjust my thinking by pointing out the positives over the negatives, but honestly this Summerslam is a huge letdown. Batista vs Cena has little build to it, HHH vs Khali and JBL/Punk will have little to no real chemistry. Edge vs Undertaker in a h**l in the Cell is kind of a let down too, because it seems Undertaker's return has to equal a victory, even though it would be the better move to have Edge win. Seeing how a h**l in the Cell always equals feud ending match, Edge is kind of getting screwed by this, because a victory by the new focused Edge, would reinvigorate their feud and help Edge return to the top heel in WWE.

In order for Summerslam to be a success:

-Batista vs Cena has to deliver

-Edge must look strong and not get destroyed

-CM Punk vs JBL must have some kind of controversy behind it.

-Jericho and Shawn Michaels have to have a brawl

BQ:Like I said I really don't like Edge's chances of victory, but I would love to see it happen.

Every match needs to be good.

From Undertaker vs. Edge to the Great Khali vs. HHH, all of these matches need to be set up in believable ways and have the fans at the edge of their seats. If the matches aren't put together well, then the show will be horrible, as the card already reflects possible disappointment.

i will write my review for summerslam:

Jeff Hardy vs MVP : They should make this match a street fight, but anyway, the match will be above average.

Shawn Michaels Announcement : i am waiting for this, and i am hoping that HBK  does what he did 6 yrs ago, chalenge Y2J for a street fight.. like he did with HHH, maybe they could steal the show like HHH vs HBK for SS 2002

Winners Take All Tag Match

Kofi Kingston and Mickie James vs. Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix =

THIS Match is very umpredictable, and that's what makes it very interresting , 1 person will walk out with 2 title and history will be made for the first time ever someone with the women and IC title....

and all 4 of these wrestlers are above aveage for wrestling skills

First Time Ever Match  John Cena vs. Batista =

it will be a slap to the face of undertaker if that's the main event anyway, WWE has build these too much, i am hoping they don't get more than 10 min, but they'll probably get betewn 15-20(like Boby vs Cena last year)... it DEFENETLY Won't be a great match.. it will be a brawl

Mark Henry vs. Matt Hardy = why else can i say? Mark Henry in a match"! i said it before, if Matt will be on ECW, he deserve to be a main eventer...and the ECW Title would look great around his waist, but i dont think he'll win it .........yet

Triple H vs. The Great Khali = khali + wrestling match= change the channel, again this match shuld have been a street fight or something.. as a single it will suck..i see HHH using his sledgehammer FTW

CM Punk vs. JBL = JBL is far from great wrestler,hes a good wrestler but a great brawler, i am keeping my finger crossed for this one, as Punk is a great wrestler, and the match qualiti should be above average

Edge vs. Undertaker = OMFG i cant wait to see this match, its gona be brutal betewn 2 of the best wrestlers WWE has today, i am hoping it last for 40 + min with WON rating it as 5 stars, even thoug i doubt it,  i see Edge taking a huge fall in this one(u do know hes a great seller)... it will SAVE THE SHOW

Edge needs this win more, and Edge is 7-1 at SS, and he is never pinned, so Edge is undefeted at summerslam...which is aweosme

From my point of view, for the Slam to be great, Mickie and Beth need to have a great wrestling match when they're in the ring in the Tag match.

Michaels to give a great segment, possibly a Jericho appearance to make it better

Undertaker and Edge to give the best match of their lives, possibly some massive bumps as well

I don't know what Cena and Batista have to do to make their match good. If they do make a good match, it'll be the biggest shock of the year

CM Punk to give his best performance as a WWE wrestler

If MVP is as good of a wrestler as Benjamin is, I think Hardy / MVP will be a great match

BQ - I don't care who wins! As long as I get entertained with a great match I will not care who wins!

In order for Summerslam to be a success, the h**l in a Cell match has to be great (and I think it will be).  JBL & CM Punk both have to bring their 'A' game.  Triple H will have to make Khali look better than he is.  MVP and Jeff Hardy need to put on a match like Jeff & Shelton have been having on Smackdown recently.  Cena & Batista need to both unload their entire playbook and play to the crowd A LOT.  The rest of the matches need to have limited mistakes.

Most of all, the h**l in a Cell match must come last!

BQ:  Not only would I be okay with Edge winning, but I'm rooting for Edge to win.  His character has taken a turn for the TREMENDOUS in the last few weeks.  Beating the Undertaker in h**l in a Cell would be the icing on the cake.  Undertaker has only won 3 times in h**l in a Cell and has lost 2 of his last 3, so it wouldn't be a total shock for him to lose.
