  1. -Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo Ole'

-Falling Slowly from the Once movie

    -a song by Imogen Heap

  2. Here are some that could turn out very pretty and emotional:

    "Mirror" - BarlowGirl

(Two girls did a lyrical duet to this in my studio and it was amazing!)

"Dancing Dirt into the Snow" - Missy Higgins

(Sad, but very powerful. It would be very memorable)

"Black Bird" - Evan Rachel Wood

(It's a remake of a Beatles song, from the movie Across the Universe. Not a lot of background music and the lyrics are beautiful)

    "When It Rains" - Paramore

(If you want it a little "rockish". It's not thrashy and loud though.

    "Brave" - Idina Menzel

(Very strong. Would look amazing with the right choreography.)

"I Turn to You" - Christina Aguilera

(This one is one of her older songs. Great friendship song.)

    "Heavily Broken" - The Veronicas

(This one is also sad, but with a rock edge to it. It's about feeling like your falling apart and you need help. Great lyrics.)

    "Redeemed" - Charlotte Martin

(Very different! The background music is awesome. This one would definitely stand out if you're going to competition.)

These are all I could think of for now. I hope I could help! :)

  3. dress up as a boy and people will think that iits funny and ur trying to make the play funny

  4. one step at a time-jordan sparks

    or,

    shine-brian melo

  5. Girlfriend remix, with Lil Mama and avril Lavegne.

  6. "Hide and Seek" Imogen Heap

"Now we are Free" Lisa Gerard [from the Gladiator soundtrack]

    "In my Place" Coldplay

    "Colorblind" Counting Crows

These two could be considered as boy/girl... but I don't think it really matters:

    "Breathe Me" Sia

    "Falling Away with You" Muse

  7. holding out for a hero, frou frou does a good mix for a lyrical

heaven is a place on earth, belinda carlisle

    every moment, joy williams

kindly unspoken or its only life, kate voegele (or pretty much anything else by her)

whenever you remember, carrie underwood. really cute for a best friends kind of dance.

also, look through ani defranco's songs. she has some that might work. hypnotized is one of my favorites

    i hope i helped =]

and good luck with the duet

  8. You could do a reprise of Debbie Allen's "I Still Believe in Me"

Yes, I'm dating myself (this was the 80s folks) and yes I know that Coco (Erica Gimpel) is not a dancer but I still like that routine.

  9. For a school talent show two girls did a song called "Suds in the bucket" by Sara Evans. I LUV the song.... the words in it make it easy to make up dance moves although it is a country song. You can find int without lyrics on itunes.
