  1. 11 x 1.5 = 16.5 (top & bottom)

    1.5 x 1.5 = 2.25 (each side) > 4 x 2.25 = 9 (4 sides)

    16.5 + 9 = 25.5 (top and sides) > 2.55 liters paint

    16.5 + 16.5 + 9 = 42 (top, bottom, and 4 sides) > 4.2 liters

  2. If it's rectangular...(And you won't be painting the bottom I don't think).

    3 x (11 x 1.5) two sides and the top. = 49.5m².

    2 x (1.5 x 1.5) both ends. = 4.5m².

    = 54m² = 5.4 Lites of paint. (say five 5 litre x one 1 litre cans).

  3. need to know the shape of the "machine" to determine the area.

Impossible to calculate unless we know the exact shape. Is it a rectangle, or a cylinder, or something else?

  4. for painting you need the areas of the following sides:

    - 11x1.5x2(sides) =33m^2

    -1.5x1.5x2(sides) = 4.5m^2

    - 11x1.5  ( this is the top side of the machine) =16.5m^2

    total area to be painted= 33+4.5+16.5 =54m^2

amount of paint will be = 54/10 = 5.4 ltr of paint required
