  1. Lay off the dope.

Now, seriously, if you are 15 years old and haven't slept AT ALL for 2 days, shouldn't your mother be taking you to a doctor???

  2. good thought. I'm taling 3mgs. sometimes it doesn't do the trick. I'll take another. no harm in that. cost about $12 to $15 for I think 60 .good lcik

  3. melatonin comes in 3 and 5 mg caps they cost around $ 15 depending where you buy and you start taking one caps at 4-5 pm and see if you get sleepy in 2 hours if not increase and take 2 caps up to 5 at a time they are not toxic and not addictive, melatonin is the natural sleeping hormone

  4. I take 10 mg every night. (2 pills) about 30-45 min. before I go to sleep.  It's between $7-10 for a bottle of 60, depending on what brand and where you buy it.  It's all the same though.  I buy it at Wal-Greens.  I don't think your age really matters just as long as you aren't a little kid.  I'm 27.  Hope that helps.

  5. You can try a 2.5 or 3 mg tablet--buy a small bottle to see if it works.  There should be no side effects, but I don't know about the effect in children.  Try it though, better than not sleeping.

  6. Foods rich in Tryptophan will help induce natural sleep and aid in reducing anxiety and tension.

Avoid caffeine for a few hours before bedtime too.

foods rich in Tryptophan are ~ bananas, cottage cheese, milk, meat, fish, turkey, bananas, dried dates, peanuts and all protein rich foods ............. turkey sandwiches for supper may just do the trick buddy......... :0)

Have a soothing cup of organic loose leaf chamomile tea ~ this could be the sleep remedy you need too.

The tea bag and commercial varieties of herbal teas such as chamomile tea could never be of any therapeutic value as they have had so much of the essential oils pulverised from them .......... only organic will do buddy.

Also, try putting a few drops of pure essential lavender oil into a warm bath and soak in that for 15 minutes just before bedtime ~ the lavender oil is a great natural stress reliever and will relax you enormously.

Don't use the lavender oil for pregnant or breast feeding women or children under 5 either.

For more difficult insomnia, try 1mg of melatonin sublingually (dissolved under the tongue) 15 minutes before bedtime.... any good health food store will be able to provide you with all these things.........  sorry, i'm not sure of the price as i haven't used it in quite a few years.

Naturally resolving the problem will always be the best way .... :0)

    peace 2 u

  7. Melatonin comes in 3MG, or 300MCG...same dose, same thing.  It is very inexpensive, at any drug store.  You need to talk to your parents about using it, however.

If they say ok, you can take one about 45 minutes to an hour, before bedtime.  If it hasn't worked in an hour, a second one can be taken. No more than that, though.

i hope you aren't thinking of abusing it in any way.  Like all medications, over the counter or prescription,  it can be harmful if abused.  I personally drink a cup of Sleepytime tea, with Splenda to sweeten it, sometimes add powdered creamer, too.  It helps a lot.  Always choose caffeine free or herbal, when and if you choose teas to help.

There are many ways to encourage sleep, without medication.  No daytime napping.  Get up early like you were when you went to school.  Join a fitness club, walk on the treadmill, get one of the trainers to help you with a program.  Get a lot of exercise, join an aerobics class, play tennis, or volleyball, or swimming. Don't just sit in front of the TV all day, or spend hours playing video games.

If you sleep til 11AM or noon, then no, you aren't going to be tired and ready to sleep at a normal bedtime.  You need to avoid caffeine products from suppertime on...coffee, tea, Pepsi, Coke, Mt Dew, Sunkist Orange, hot chocolate, chocolate candy...avoid sugary foods and drinks, too.

    Hope this helps.
