  2. i would go with a very small mig welder with argon gas and a solid wire, im not a fan of flux, argon gas would be better  

  3. The preferred welder for body work is a small mig with solid wire and a mix of co2 and argon.  It can be done with flux core wire, but I wouldn't use it for anything structural.  (frame rails, rockers, center posts, etc..)

    Whatever you use, you should clean the weld area on both sides and prime with a good self etch primer. If you are going to lap 2 or more panels together, use a weld through primer on the lap areas.

  4. flux core is fine its fust much easyer for most of us to use argon, to me i think it welds cooler which is a must for thin metal

  5. yes it is ,if you can get use to using it,using solid wire is a lot easier to do and makes a cleaner weld,but if you can get use to flux core you can do a real good job with it also,it just doesn't make as clean of a weld ,good luck.
