What is your favorite passage from James Fray's book, A Million Little Pieces?

Which one stuck out from all the rest and you either really loved, or changed you somehow?

This book is full of amazing lines and passages, it's hard to forget the ones that mean a lot.

Just tell me yours and why you feel the certain way you do about it.

  1. It was a good book...but a lie...so i can't condone any passage from that book

  2. I love this book.  I hate that his talent has been tainted by the fact that he used the truth loosely.  He is a very talented writer.  So many parts were moving, I can't choose just one.

  3. I too loved this book and yes i realize much of it is made up but so what he's an amazing author and if this book has helped at least one person it's a success. Although no, I do not agree with him presenting it as mostly nonfiction at first and then being proven wrong. I have 2 favorite quotes:

"I want to look beneath the surface of the pale green and see what's inside of me, what's within me, what I'm hiding. I start to look up but I turn away. I try to force myself but I can't" [p. 32].

**because James is torn between wanting to look into his own eyes to see himself completely and being afraid of what he may find.

"I don't know what happened or how I ever ended up like this, but I did, and I've got some huge ******* problems and I don't know if they're fixable. I don't know if I'm fixable" [p. 131].

**His reply when his brother Bob tells him he has top get better.

  4. you know all of what is in that book isnt true.

oprah confronted him and it was hilarious. :]]]
