if the total pressure is 1.50atm and the numbers of moles of the gases present are 0.31 mole for CH4,0.25 mole for C2H6,and 0.29mole for C3H8,calculate the partial pressures of the gases.

  1. Ptotal = PCH4 + PC2H6 + PC3H8

    Pgas= (xgas)(Ptotal)

    xgas is the mole fraction of a gas

    PCH4= [0.31 / (0.31 +0.25 + 0.29)] X Ptotal

    PC2H6 = [0.25 / (0.31 +0.25 + 0.29)] X Ptotal

    PC3H8 = [0.29 / (0.31 + 0.25 + 0.29)] X Ptotal

    no calculator here. ill leave it up to you here on.
