what type of bank account do i need to cash a cashier's check, a savings or a checkings account? thanks 4 ur help...

you would probably want a checking account, but ask the bank about a savings account. Some banks will issue a cashiers check from a savings account.

You will probably have to pay a fee for a cashiers check unless your bank offers them for free.

I would think that you could deposit a cashier's check into any type of account.  You may not be able to access the funds until the check clears.

Take it to the bank that issued the check and they will cash it on the spot.
