Hi I'm writing a story and I'd like to have a monster or something like that in it. There's a giant demon hierarchy that i want to hide behind a random monster (aka defeating the monster my character will find out about the demons b/c they summondedthe said monster as a distraction)

Basically I need my character to figure out the whole demon thing AFTER meeting and investigating/fighting off a monster from myth.

I can't decide what monster to do though, and the monster needs to be able to leave a trail and be somewhat tricky and different.

I was going to go with an Aswang (a monster that steals kids) but don't know so much anymore..

what's your favorite monster? (please no vampires, werewolves, etc.) I need a monster that is NOT intelligent (unless it's a wendigo which is also a possibilty) but I mean, not human in the least.

Thanks =]

  1. how about a bodach, which sounds similar to your creature?

    if youve ever odd thomas by dean koontz you know what this is, if not then a bodach is an evil spirit from the british isles that would slink down chimneys and steal away naughty children they congregate and multiply in scenes of tragedy and death

    they have no distinct shape or form, are fluid in motion and completely silent i dont think they have any human characteristics

  2. Chupacabras are my favorite, but those wouldn't seem bad-assed enough, would they? UNLESS THEY WERE GIANT!!!!
