I'm going to visit Rome, Italy, and going to stay there for a whole month.

I need suggestions as what are the places that i cannot miss, authentic places, little hidden places with great food, stuff like that.

And what other city should i visit...

Romantic spots, historical, restaurants.

Thanks :)

  1. There is a great little restaurant (a bit expensive) in the centre called Nino. Its down a side street not far from Spanish Steps. Also, if money is not a problem, try and visit Harrys Bar on the Via Veneto which was great for a romantic meal, nice music, food wine etc.

With sights, they're pretty much just the standard ones. Trevi Fountain, Colloseum, Vatican and so on.

    Hope you enjoy your trip!

  2. a little town in the country around Rome that is called "Calcata", it's the town of the wiches (long story), we went there for a friend's birthday. Is a tiny little village of I think 200 people, and it's inhabited only by artists and artisans, as you walk you can see all little shops selling the most strange handmade things, jwellery, paintings, clothes, painted tiles.. also there are a few little restaurants (everithing there is little, walking through the allies you feel you're in a house), the food is tipical italian, places are simple and affortable, we spent 19 euros for wine (a lot) starters, main, dessert and coffe, tips included).

There are couches to get there in about an hour, and if you have to stay in rome for a month I think it's really worth a look.

PS Also the view from the hill is breathtaking

  3. A whole month......you lucky dog. Just walk and keep walking around every corner will be a surprise. A Roman ruin, a fountain, a trattoria.......Have fun!!

  4. i wanted to kill myself after a week, dont go, if u go, go for 3 days max, if u wanna have a good time in italy, go to milan or venice. those 2 are great.

  5. Don't miss Florence & the Amalfi Coast

  6. Wow you are lucky!

These are some of the most popular places to visit but for a month you will sure visit even more:

    Baths of Caracalla

    Campo dé Fiori

    Capitoline Hill

    Castel Sant'Angelo

    Colosseum

    Palatine Hill

    Pantheon

    Piazza del Popolo

    Piazza di Spagna

    Piazza Navona

    Piazza Venezia

    Roman Forum

    San Giovanni in Laterano

    St. Peter's Basilica

    Trajan’s Markets

    Trevi Fountain

    Vatican City

    Villa Borghese

Also go to Venice, Verona, Paduva, Milan, Florence, the Amalfi Coast, Pozitano...

  7. Stop in on any corner tratoria and get fixing for a picknic lunch. Bread, cheese, olives, whatever, and some wine. Then head over to Villa Borguese and people watch. We used to do this back in high school. Met lots of interesting people. ciao
