A movie i saw on china airlines?

i was on a flight from washington (st) to i believe taipei on china airlines back in march of 06. i saw a movie it was either in japenese or korean or chinese (im guessing chinese because i was on CHINA AIRLINES). the movie i believe was called P.S. i love you, and no not the hilary swank version.

the movie was based a girl who was in love with this guy and never got to say goodbye, he left for thailand with his family and there was a huge tsunami or something that killed him. but his spirit is still with her taking care of her as her guardian angel?

something along those lines. anyone knows the title?
