Has this ever happened? I don't mean in the audience, a la Booth vs. Lincoln. I mean on the stage, with the killer being either one of the cast or someone doing a good impersonation of being one of the cast.

  1. I hope this hasn't happened (and hope it never will), but someone has had an actual heart attack or something like that on stage and the audience didn't find out until later. It was a couple years ago when that happened.

  2. I don't know if it's ever happened for real, but there's a Ngaio Marsh murder mystery about just that thing happening!  It's calle "Light Thickens" and it's set during a production of Macbeth.  There has also been a case (although this was accidental death) where an actor playing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar actually hanged in the hanging sequence (it went wrong) and died onstage.

  3. WHOA! It would really be the perfectly imperfect crime. None of the hundreds of witnesses would realize it .. but another cast member on stage would..

However.. what would the cast member say? "THERES BEEN A MURDER! EVERYBODY OUT OF THE BUILDING!" and the audience is turning to each other like "wow.. great acting!" lol

I haven't heard of this happening either

  4. umm not that I know of sorry
