Question:

A net system or but the separates?

I'm the new captain of a rec level beach volleyball team and we are going to get out and practice but I am having trouble deciding whether to run with a net system like Park and Sun Tourney Flex or buy the net/boundries separately as the poles at the beach are always up. Does it matter if the nets have steel or rope and is there honestly a difference in #27 grade to #42? I've become a little obsessive with trying to find something to work, realize we don't need a $400 net but am willing to pay if its best for our needs. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

  1. For a practice net and/or system, I would go cheaper.  If you have access to the poles on the beach, I would rig your own lines.  You could even just get some nylon rope for practice purposes.

If you are going to be using your system for years, you might want to go with the steel.  You may just be working one season for a rec team, you might get away with rope for the net system.

If you were going to build a permanent system and it was for your team only and you were going to use it for years, I would suggest spending the money.
