A network technician is asked to examine an existing switched network. Following this examination, the technician makes recommendations for adding new switches where needed and replacing existing equipment that hampers performance. The technician is given a budget and asked to proceed. Which two pieces of information would be helpful in determining necessary port density for new switches? (Choose two.)

forwarding rate

traffic flow analysis

expected future growth

number of required core connections

number of hubs that are needed in the access layer to

increase performance

  1. I would have said

    1. Expected future growth

    2. Number of required core connections

For me traffic flow analysis doesn't really impact the port density (basically amount per unit).

Traffic flow is more of what speed would you want to have in the network -- will 10/100 suffice or is Gigabit necessary

  2. IT certification Tutorials- http://mcadtutorial.com/

  3. 1.  traffic flow analysis

    2.  expected future growth

    --------------------------------------...

the other 3 might not apply to this network.  ie:  why forward ports, a webserver?

    forget about core connections.

why use old tech like hubs.

    wtf?

    thats what i say.
