Question:

A new cable for my electric guitar?

I've been using the cable that came with my beginner package, and it needs replacing...

It is noisy, for one thing. Sometimes I can turn around and the noise goes down; but I'd like it to work in any position...

So... my question... what is a decent instrument cable that I can use with my guitar? Give me a few options and use details, please.

  1. When you go and look at cables, make sure you buy one that is shielded !

unshielded cables are used between a  p.a head and the pa speakers !

shielded cables you need between a guitar amp and a guitar so it won't pick up line noise !.

  2. I use Monster Cables and they're expensive but they work great.

  3. i personally use Spectraflex braided cables. I own 5 at different lengths ranging between 8 ft-22ft. I just down right love em. they come in cool designs too, so it's hard to mistake yours for your buddy's cable.
