A new chapter might open with Rafael Nadal's comeback in competitive tennis – Tennis News
King of clay, Rafael Nadal, was unable to contest in any of the tournaments after his unfortunate knee injury. In the recent past, he was the world number one, dominating the tennis courts for a very long time. Due to his absence
from the courts, there was a great room created for the younger professionals to take over the front line.
The biggest advantage faced was by the Czech, Lukas Rosol, in the second round of the Wimbledon Championship, he rallied beyond his senior in a five set match. This made the contest at the green grass courts relatively easier and
the Swiss professional, Roger Federer secured the world number one spot.
The Spanish challenger confirmed his arrival at the exhibition tournament held in Abu Dhabi on 27th December. This is surely a start up and can unquestionably shake up the world rankings. Nadal is paired up with the
British number one, Andy Murray and later against Djokovic. His fans are apprehensively waiting for his arrival.
The left-hander Spanish manifested a decent performance at the Australian Open held at the courts of Melbourne. He outmuscled the Swiss professional, Roger Federer in the semi-finals but after a tough five-set battle, he bagged
home a loss at the hands of the Serbian contender, Djokovic.
The 26-year-old, Nadal, started to resume his top class performance in the clay court tournaments. He avenged his loss from the 25-year-old Djokovic at the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters. He suffered an unexpected thrashing at the Mutua
Madrilena Madrid Open at the hands of the lower ranked compatriot, Fernando Verdasco. Nadal has dominated the French Open seven times and he is trying his utmost to secure his dominance this year too.
The Spaniard professional does not intend to win the Australian Open next year due to his absence from the hard courts but he can surely predict his comeback on the clay court tournaments. As four different players bagged home
different Grand Slam titles, the competition between Djokovic and Federer will get more thrilling than before. The Spanish number one can definitely take over the 25-year-old British, Murray, due to his outstanding experience and ability.
Nadal’s 2013 return will start an entirely new chapter in the history of tennis. The greatest combats will be seen between Nadal and Federer. Both the contestants maintain a classic legacy of remarkable wins in the past and have
met each other several times to prove their respective dominance.
