A new legal age to leave home?!?!?! ?

Pensylvaina is this true? my best friends grandma said that the new legal age to leave home is 17 is this true? Also when did this become official?

Not true.

The legal age to live on your own in ANY state still remains at 18 years (unless, of course, you've been emancipated or have some sort of parental permission.)  There have been no changes to that regulation.

I know there's a big movement going on in Pennsylvania right now to lower the DRINKING age, so perhaps your friend's grandmother was confusing that with what you're talking about.
