I was in the car yesterday while my mom was at the bank. These 2 girls rushed out of an SUV banging on my car window saying do you want an opportunity to have a $4000 home theater system for $500. I said let me look at it. I popped their trunk with 4 massive boxes and the box said 2000WATT DaVinci home theater. I won't buy it right now but should I take a brand like DaVinci? Is DaVinci audio any good? Or am I being tricked? How is a TOTAL of 2000WATT anyway?

  1. Wow, you need to counter offer! (You need to be sure to get your moneys worth)

Get the girls to spend the night with you the night you buy the surround system. The next morning, when you wake up, throw out the girls, and the system.

  2. Yes DaVinci is a good brand, they make excellent quality speakers, and dispute being often steeply priced are well worth the money (so long as you buy it from a white van).

Sorry, but no, they are no good, they are a knock off brand, no more.

2000W will, if in a small room, make your ears bleed if listened to at a high volume. To put it is perspective, my surround sound is 700w, and it shakes my house.

How ever, unless you are buying from a licensed dealer (which dont exist, considering the brand is a knock off), I would bet a buck that you are one step away from being scammed. Your new speaker system will consist of around 5-7 bricks with speeker cones in them, and a lot of bubble wrap. I'm sorry, but if the deal sounds to good to be true, then it is! I urge you to stay away at any length.

  3. this is the famous "white van scam"

search "white van speakers" on wikipedia

  4. Dude, you are not only being scammed, you are buying stolen property.

Check the penalty for possession of stolen goods before you do anything.

    A fool and his money...
