How many times in the day the minute & hour hands form a right angle? explanation is needed.

The hit, hit, miss pattern repeats itself in groups of 3's (i think), leading to 2 hits every (22.818...*3)minutes, = 65.45...

1440/65.45...= 22

22*2=44 hits per day

Is this correct?

23 because the most times this can occur in each hr is 2 : therefor 2x12=24 but the last one takes you past 12pm right? i counted it on my clock lol hope it helps;)

like : 12:15 & 12:45

and 24 hrs a day x 2 times right angles = 48 times

but the last time right angle would come the next day.

so it's 47 times..
