There are 200 animals in the local zoo , 99% LIONS .

How many lions have we to take out to make the percentage of the inside lions 98%?

  2. Who cares? No one would go there because of the high prcentage of lions. Imagine:

    "Look, a lion!"

    "Look, a lion!"

    "Look, a lion!"

    "A lion."

    "A lion."

    "Another lion."

    "HOLY **** A PENGUIN!"

    "A lion. Yay."

    Then the zoo would lose all of its money and there would be no need for this riddle.

  3. We've to take out ( 100 LIONS ) .

  4. first we make sure, there are 198 lions and 2 whatevers

    if we take out 2, that makes 196 lions out of 198 animals which is 98.98%

    in order to have the lions be 98%, we have to make sure that the 2 whatevers become 2%

    in order to do that, we need to decrease the total number of animals to 100

    so to decrease 198 lions + 2 whatever to 100 animals, we need to take out 100 lions

    i suppose the trick of this question is that people tend to forget that when you decrease the number of lions you decrease the total number of animals as well
