Question:

A new race in the near future?

Due to interracial marriages, do you believe that there will come a time (say a thousand years from now) that there will be no pure Caucasians, Asians & African race? We won't see a "white" or a "black" or a "brown" race but a combination or a new race? What's your opinion on this? Racist remarks will be reported so don't even think about it!

  1. Maybe so, you never know what this world is coming to.

  2. i think there are no pure race, even if you can categorize persons into races it's not genetically true, some scientists say that the homo sapiens did mated with neanderthal and we are the combination of these two... so there are no pure white or black, we all share the same DNA, and we're all from the same original soup...

  3. well i sure hope so im in an interrecial marrige, i have 4 kids 2 look white and the 2 girls are brown. they all have the same father who is white. my boys are blond hair and blue eyes so to answer your ? i would like to see a no race in the future but cant see it happening

  4. I asked the same question a few months ago. I believe that in 100 years, most Americans will look like they are related to Vin Diesel, Mariah Carey, or Halle Berry.

  5. Your a bit behind the times. (no offense intended). Already no "pure" blooded person exists, so, as an answer to you question: it already happened.

  6. .. go to brazil..  its beautiful.. nearly everyone is mixed.. with everything else.. and there is no racism there..

a study was done in the 1980 asking some brazilians about difference races..  they didn't even understand the concept

    =)

  7. Well, it's just like what the Indian comedian Russell Peters once said! He believes that one day, because of all of the racial mixing going on, we will all become a hybrid of Chinese and Indian...[because they're the two largest populations in the world!!]

WE WILL ALL BE *BEIGE*. haha

  8. Is there such a thing as a pure race.  Of course there is.  If you consider the intermingling over the thousands of years you will find that humanity is now a race of pure individuals who have such a combination of genes in them that I think it hard to find a single human who is not mixed to some degree.  Therefor why not consider the race of humanity as already pure and making it purer each and every day?

  9. that is highly possible. But then again, in a thousand years maybe there will be a renewed form of segregation( and I don't mean that as a racist remark, but I think that that is also possible.)

  10. This is the problem with dividing people up by races, and it's why anthropologists tend to avoid it nowadays. But to answer your question...maybe, but it would take much longer than 1,000 years. Then again, how many people do you need to be called a "race." Maybe there's a new race right now?
