A new twist in the case of Peguy Luyindula – Ligue 1 news
While the striker thought that he had finally returned to active duty at Paris Saint-Germain following the decision of the LFP, Peguy Luyindula’s agony is still far from over as the Frenchman has been forced to train alone at Camp des Loges.
The Luyindula case is certainly a major legal fiasco made by PSG. Left out of the first team earlier this season, the 32-year-old striker has been fighting for several months in order to train normally with his teammates.
After a standoff that caused a lot of controversy, the Ligue de Footballeurs Professionnels finally intervened and ordered PSG to allow the striker to return to the Camp des Loges.
PSG obliged with the decision but instead of trying to reintegrate the striker back with his teammates, he was asked to train alone.
On their official website, a statement read, “Paris Saint-Germain was informed of the decision of LFP this afternoon and on the Peguy Luyindula situation. PSG will analyse the decision calmly to determine whether it is appropriate to appeal within the time
and manner prescribed.”
Basically, the cash-laden side is not looking to soften their stance of Luyindula and are looking to stretch things further which simply mean that Luyindula’s ordeal is not over yet.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international has been keen to find a new club and when LFP intervened, the striker could not help but hide his relief at being allowed to start training with his teammates again. However, the striker’s hopes were shattered when he was simply
asked to train on his own which is certainly a major setback for the Frenchman.
The recent stance taken by PSG is certainly a controversial one to say the least as the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 striker has been at the club since 2007 during which he has played over 130 games. in 2009, Luyindula signed a contract extension which would
keep him at Parc des Princes until 2012 but it now seems that the striker would simply want to get as far away from PSG as possible in the upcoming winter transfer window in order to resurrect a career which is certainly coming to an end.
