  1. a baby is a baby is a baby.... 3 months in the womb 3 months out of the womb  it's all the same... a baby is a baby is a baby.

  2. Why are you so worried about what other people choose to do?  Luke?  are you a man?  Not having an abortion is a very easy thing for you to say...especially since you'll never be faced with that kind of a problem.  What if the woman was raped? What if the woman was a child herself? Abortion is a woman's choice  and there is a time and a place for everything. Thats the cold hard truth.

  3. Having an abortion is a woman's choice. There are certain circumstances that having an abortion is a good thing. Imagine if a woman were raped and got pregnant from that. Do you think the woman would want to keep the baby and have that constant reminder of what happened to her? I think not. Also, there are times when a teenager gets pregnant, not because she is irresponsible, but because the "heat of the moment" kicks in and she loses her head. That is also an acceptable time for an abortion. I don't believe that woman should have multiple ones just because they don't want kids and are too stupid to either keep their legs closed or use a form of birth control, but there are certain times when its okay. As for when its ok to abort, the cut off is 20 weeks. If you're passed twenty weeks preggo than the clinics won't perform an abortion at all.

  4. i think abortion is only okay if some one is raped, thats the only reason. i think if someone was to get an abortion to get it right away. a baby has a heartbeat like around the 2/3 weeks pregnant. why have s*x or unprotected s*x when you know the consequences of doing this. People dont think when they get "horny" but they think about getting an abortion when they are pregnant its crazy. the world is F'd up and people are going to do whatever they want and dont think its a baby till there like 3 months or so on. I seen on youtube this girl got an abortion at 7 months and it was gross they actually had to give her some injection to kill the baby than she gave birth to it and they baby was still alive so they took a sizor and cut the baby head who ever did that is freaking gross. but abortion is not on my mind i cant wait till next week till have my baby boy. im sure the 26 =]

  5. I hate abortions.

  6. first trimester it's considered an embryo not a fetus. Therefore you can abort the baby. Second trimester is considered a fetus thus the term partial-birth abortions. Most places you must only have an embryo to abort. 12 weeks or less. The pill form of abortion (free disolving of embryo) is 8 weeks or less.

  7. This I guess is the big dillema we face as a nation when we turn medicine and science and their findings into a philosophical and personal choice-in this case, when life/humanity begins. Life begins at the moment of coneption, and that is even before that "blob of cells" implants on the uterus wall. If we can't collectively respect the personhood of that life, then we have no hope of coming to a conclusion because it's an "anything goes" type of discussion. Because each person is an individual, without a set guideline, each person may answer differently. Some believe that a baby, even after birth should be allowed to be killed via infanticide because they are still a helpless being and it should therefore still be the mother's choice.

Legality does not ever make something moral-two totally seperate issues. Slavery was legal. Those who supported it said they weren't "human" (the slaves), that if you didn't approve of owning a slave, then don't do it... very familiar arguments that I hear used regarding abortion...

Add: I think Kindra raises a good point. We have placed words to distinguish the point of developement of an unborn baby. But "a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet". Realistically, does the fact that the baby is a "fetus" or an "embryo" make him or her any less human? No, not at all. Those words are simply ways to describe the point of developement. Would we excuse early term abortions if we removed those words and just said-"An 8 week abortion on a small baby"?

  8. a human being is a human being. It has it's own heartbeat, DNA, and body. It is just as much murder if you kill something at the begining of it's life(meaning the minute conception occurs) as it is if you were to kill it when it was 5 yrs old, 50 yrs old, or the day before they would die of natural causes. It isn't right, it isn't our decision who lives and who dies.

  9. I think abortion is okay as long as done within the first 12 weeks and only once for someone. People shouldnt be having unprotected s*x and using abortion as birth control.

  10. Abortion should strictly be a woman's choice as to whether she has the strength, financial and emotional support necessary.  I wouldn't recommend an abortion past eight or nine weeks.

  11. I can't believe how horrible your spelling and grammar are....

    Anyway, think about this:

A baby is a baby no matter what. An "embryo" or "fetus" is:

-Undoubtedly living (cell division, growth, etc. Definitely not dead.)

-Undoubtedly human (not a dog or a tree...)

    -Undoubtedly actual (not just potential)

-Undoubtedly distinct (it's not the mother or the father)

-Undoubtedly unique (not a carbon copy)

-Undoubtedly innocent (not responsible for the circumstances of its conception-- whether rape, incest, or some teenage girl getting knocked up, or from a married couple)

So, if you wouldn't have an abortion at all and think that it is murder (as I do), then why would you like to know when is the latest that it should be able to be killed? You're preaching a double standard here.
