Question:

A nice place to eat while in vegas?

My boyfriend and I are going to Vegas for our 4 year anniversary. I wanted some suggestions on where to eat for dinner that night. Nothing too fancy, no more than $120 for the whole dinner. Any suggestions?

Thanks :)

  1. When you go to the Venetian talk to your concierge...they are there to make your anniversary and your stay spectacular, but if they don't know the occasion, they don't know you need a suggestion.  Call the concierge from your room phone (there's a button for direct connection), tell him/her that you need some advice for a very special anniversary dinner in one of their fine restaurants, and have him/her make the reservation for you...who knows, something special may come your way from the hotel itself.  We were given an upgraded suite and an unbelievable bottle of champagne at dinner, compliments of the Venetian.

One thing...we have stayed at the Venetian about a dozen times and the Bellagio at least as many, and I gotta say the Venetian takes care of us better than even the Bellagio.  Both are ultra classy, and I love both places (the pools are better at the Bellagio), but concierge service at Venetian blows the Bellagio outta the water.  Use it.

Oh - but you gotta eat breakfast at Cafe Bellagio...they have the best bacon I have ever had in my life!!!!! It doesn't matter what time you're eating it, either...bacon....yuuuummmmm

  2. Hard to hold that price line.  But you can just wander around a look at various restaurants in each hotel.  The ones with menus outside are usually less expensive.  $150 is more like what you will be spending it the better restaurants.

Try Samba Brazilian Steakhouse or Stack at the Mirage.

If you have never eaten Brazilian style, you are in for a treat.  The watiers carring long skewers with all different kinds of meat and slice of portions for you all night long, you can eat as much as you wish.  Sort of like a buffet that comes to you.

  3. There are so many in Vegas these days but I suggest Pamplemouse on East Sahara.

A nicely appointed independent french restaurant.

  4. i am from las vegas, i was born and raised i lived ther all my life. The best places to eat are in the texas station-buffet, fiesta-has buffet, wild fire-resturant. thats all i think of right now

  5. Hi I'm a cabbie here in Vegas and the answer to your question is as follows.

Mon Ami Gabbi at the Paris hotel.

This is upper class romantic dinning that will fit into your budget.  They have a romantic atmosphere with inside and outside seating.  With their view to the Ifel tower, the strip and the dancing water fountains at the Bellagio.  They just cant be beat.  The Food is to die for and the service is spectacular.  This is one of a few restaurants that I have never heard a complaint about.  I don't suggest a buffet.  Even an expensive one will cheapen the mood.

Hope I was able to help.

    Good Luck

    The Cabbie

  6. EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO EAT ANYWHERE FOR A TOTAL OF $120 UNLESS YOU DO NOT DRINK.

MY HUSBAND AND I WENT TO MORTON'S AND HAD A $100 GIFT CERTIFICATE.  WE ORDERED ONE EXCELLENT BOTTLE OF WINE AND SPLIT A STEAK AND A SIDE.  IT CAME TO $100 AND WE BOTH HAD A VERY SATISFYING DINNING EXPERIENCE.

LAS VEGAS HAS MANY MORE VENUES THAT THE STRIP AND THE CASINOS.  ASK YOUR CONCIERGE FOR A "LOCAL" PLACE THAT HAS GOOD, MODERATELY PRICED FOOD.  SOMEWHERE THAT THEY GO WHEN THEY ARE NOT WORKING AND WANT TO GO SOMEWHERE NICE.

MANY OF THE RESTAURANTS THERE ARE "CHAINS" AND YOU WILL PAY HIGH PRICES FOR MEDIOCRITY.  WHEN WE WERE THERE, WE ASKED AND ENDED UP IN A GREAT, SMALL LOCAL STEAK HOUSE AND HAD A GREAT TIME!

    GOOD LUCK!

  7. Have roomservice set your dinner on the balcony overlooking the canal I had the chicken girl had the steak was great and around 100$ w/tip they will do it up with candles etc... congrats to you.

  8. Well this is a must and fits your criteria perfectly. I'm from Australia and went to Las Vegas 3 years ago. I stayed at the MGM but on one of my nights there a friend took me to dinner at Zeffirino's. It was one of the best meals that I have ever had. The cuisine is Italian and mainly seafood. I still dream about my meal there. The best thing for you is that it's actually in the Venetian hotel. When you book ask for a table at the edge so that you can overlook the canal. We had a table overlooking the canal and it was just wonderful. The gondolas were cruising up and down and the opera singers singing beautifully while all the time I was devouring my delicious prawns.  The main course meals are around $40 each which would fit into your budget with perhaps a dessert to share. Enjoy your anniversary.

This is going to cost you more than $120 but you only have an anniversary once a year.  It's at the end of the strip and towers above everything, so the view is incredible.  Make a reservation just before the sun sets and sit back and enjoy the view.  The restaurants rotates so that you can see all of Vegas.

  10. My favoritest favoritest places are the Pink Hot Dog at the Aladdin and the Cheesecake Factory at Caesar's Palace.

  11. Good thing that you don't drink! :)

I can recommend you two terrific places. Maybe the word "buffet" doesn't sound proper for a holiday, but the reality is MUCH better than the name in this case. :)

Buffets at Wynn Las Vegas and Venetian are just PERFECT. If you plan to be here in Vegas for the weekend, try Gourmet Dinner at Bellagio (Friday, Saturday, 4pm-10pm). It is about $75 for two (including taxes), and you get most dishes that upscale restaurants offer. I found some photos for you:

As for Wynn buffet, it is just the same perfect: amazing food, perfect service, elegant interiors. Friday and Saturday, 3.30pm-10.30pm, the price is almost the same (other days are a bit cheaper).

So you have an idea... :)

    Good luck and have fun!

  12. One of our favorite places is Joes Stone Crab and Steaks

Its located in the Forum shops at Casares. We love the seafood selection and th Steaks are the best.

Also, great service. Reservations mandatory, and you can suggest seating on the patio (although indoors it is special)

This is one of the best family-owned restaurants in the entire country (3 locations...Miami, Las Vegas and Chicago)
