Oh, No! Not in 20 Years!

“Mars,” says NASA, “in ’28,”

For me, I fear, that’s much too late,

Can’t wait another 20 years—

I wanna go there NOW!!!

Why must they be so awful slow?

Why can’t they let my people go?

They make me shed these hot, salt tears—

I wanna go there NOW!!!!

NASA is a Tangled Web,

Mixed metaford that makes hope ebb,

But I will fool those dad-blamed dears—

I’m gonna go there NOW!!!!

I'll pick you up at eight.

We'll start the trip to Mars this night.

Please try to not be late.

The after burner we will use,

To start out toward the stars.

I'm glad that it is faster  than,

Our ordinary cars.

Our trip should last till morning's light,

We'll be on Mars by noon.

Marvin's waiting for us there.

Behind a waning moon.

Marvin the martian was bugs bunny's opponent, but he now welcomes earthlings to mars.

I love it when you're funny.    (the line - why can't they let my people go' is inspired)....and the image I am getting is of you having a real childish tantrum, stamping feet and red-faced screaming.  Love it.....I never got to find out what 'metaford' meant....was it resolved?

If you can't wait, then there is absolutely no hope for Dondi and me.

I just saw on the program "NOVA Science NOW" on PBS that Phoenix has discovered that not only could Martian soil support microbes, it could support Plants!  I don't know about you all, but I'm packing some d**n apple seeds!  Which way to los Isley, and where is that shuttle?

20 years to a teenager is eternity, to me it is just a bump in the road.  Luckily my wheels keep coming back down!  You are there now, just let your mind wander.  Just don't buy into Carlos Casteneda's religion for flight!

That's true Elaine...We must pace ourselves up now. Twenty years is such a long time. May be the generation to follow us could go then. Twenty years, and if I am alive, I shall be a middle aged man, too tired and blind to spot the dream planet.

BRILLIANT IDEA...Let me advise...It has some inhabitants at this time, so dress for the occasion and be nice when you get there. While it is not an exclusive group, please respect their peace and speak politely. Bring your sense of humor, dry or not, and by all means.....lots of pens and paper ( Sharpies are in high demand ) for they communicate with words. That's right, words. All types and what a collection they have! So remember,

dress nice, be nice and write nice and you should be quite welcome. ( Liquor will be accepted for welcoming gifts ) Peace
