A nurse with a criminal record?

ok so my freind wants to be a nurse, she wants to train in Scotland...but 4 years ago she got a criminal record...something to do with drugs (nothing too major) but she was fined etc etc.....so can she be a nurse? she has changed since then and is now a christian and has been in full time employment ......my thoughts r that she cant but...wot u guys thinking???

It depends on what kind of drugs and what the specific charge was.  I'm guessing that since it was simply a fine, you are talking about a marijuana conviction?  Marijuana generally won't disqualify you from anything if it was a limited use drug.  It wouldn't prevent her from becoming a nurse (especially if it was four years ago!).
