I have been to the doc and I have had my gall bladder removed. I have been back to the hospital several times...nothing has been found. It is a terrible pain in mid chest area. I usually have to double over and it brings tears to my eyes.. It is triggered by anxiety, being hungry, or having to go to the bathroom...Let me explain...If I get angry or upset quickly early in the morning...7-10am This is the time I usually hurt, though it has happened at any point during the day. If I hold it in instead of going to the bathroom, it hurts and usually subsides once I go.. understandable. If I take a bite of something in the morning or even just take my mind off of the pain and not think about it..It stops.

Sorry for the lengthy story but my question is...Could it be an ulcer..or in my mind.. (since it seems to go away if I stop thinking about how bad it hurts) or could something else be seriously wrong?. The docs haven't found anything and have done many routine scans with big machines.. I still feel like there is something wrong.

  1. I've had some similar problems as far as where the pain is.  Research costochondritis...it's what I had.  It's when the muscles around your sternum get inflammed.  It definitely hurts pretty bad at times but is totally manageable.
