A paint ball gun or a pellet gun.?

Question

I have a chose of a Tippman 98 or a Pellet rifle. They both sound awesome but i only have the money for one. I live in a really forested area. Middle of nowhere actually. A few people i know have paintball guns but i see them very rarely. Please give me some input.

Both have advantages in the "fun factor" and it depends on what you will get the most use of.

A paintball gun has the advantage of being mostly harmless and you certainly see the result of each shot! However, the ammo is much more expensive.

A good pellet rifle will go far in teaching you basic marksmanship and the ammo is fairly cheap so you can shoot all day for just a couple of $. If you desire to do so, it can also be used to "hunt" small rodents or even squirrels if using a good .22 cal model.

If it were me, I would make my choice by which ever one would give me the most enjoyment at the least overall cost.

Paintball gun, because if you live in a forested area you could get a bunch of friends together and have a paintball war.  VERY FUN.  Well worth the money in my opinion.

pellet gun because paintball guns are good but the ammo is lots of money and pellet gun hurt more
