  3. Replace the carpet.

  4. lacquer thinner soak few min work loose with toothbrush

  5. bosch german chemical

  6. How big is the spill? If it is very small, say just a few drops, you can clip out the paint with the tips of a pair of scissors.

But if it is bigger, you will have to replace the spot with a new piece of carpet.

If this is your own home, look in the garage or storage to see if you can find a scrap of matching carpet. If you don't have a scrap, you can usually find a corner back in the spare room closet or somewhere that will be hidden.

Use one of those slide-out cutting blades to cut the bad spot out- best to cut a square or rectangle. Then cut your new piece ever so slightly larger (better to have to trim for a perfect fit) and then sew it in  with a matching color thread making loop stitches with a large needle. Go all the way around with the stitches, pulling and working them down into the carpet as you go so they will be hidden deep in the carpet.

When you are finished, brush across it with your hand a couple of times and chances are you won't even be able to tell where the spot was replaced.

    Good luck!
