How long does the camera take to reach the ground? What is the velocity of the camera just before it hits the ground?

  1. vf= final velocity

    vo = initial velocity = 10 m/s

    g= 9.81m/s^2

    s= distance= 50 m

    vf^2 = vo^2 +2gs

    vf= √(vo^2 +2gs)

    vf= 32.9 m/s

    vf = vo + gt

    t= (vf- vo)/g

    t=2.33 s

    or

    s= 0.5gt^2+vot

    0 =0.5gt^2+vot -s

    solve for roots t =2.33
