How can I get a pet lobster?

If I go to a lobster eating restaurant with a tank of lobsters can I pay for one and just take it home and keep it in an aquarium? Can I buy a live lobster from a fish store that are as big as the ones you eat? I just want it as a pet. and if so, I wonder how to take care of it...

of course I'd research this before i actually got one.

But what do you guys think?
