Question:

A pickup truck that get about 26+ mpg??

i am about to get a automobile , but i want a truck that is versitle and gets good gas mileage since its like $4 a gallon now . . . .

  1. Toyota makes a 4-cylinder Tacoma which, in 2WD trim, gets  25 mpg hwy according to the EPA.  That's probably as close as you're going to get.  They're pretty decent trucks, just don't expect to "win" too many "races" at stoplights because they're fairly slow with the 4cyl.  

    When I was searching for a new car / truck last fall and I found that the Tacoma was also the only truck available with a 4 cylinder and 4WD as an option (2WD trucks are almost useless in Minnesota winters...), although if you get the 4WD it lowers the mileage to something like 22 or 23 mpg hwy.
