A pilot of a 737 was half sucked out of the cockpit years ago,i say it landed at manchester airport?

my friend says it did not land at manchester airport,does any one remember this.or do you have website i can prove to my friend,thank you.

  2. Marty, thanks for that link, i've just read it. oh my god, how terrifying for all concerned. I never even heard about this story at the time, was it not in the media much?

  3. The aircraft concerned was a BAC 111, not a Boeing 737. The aircraft landed safely at Southampton.

    The accident was due to a maintenance technician fitting the wrong size of bolts into the pilot's windscreen.

    i remember this in fact it was discovery a few weeks back and your right it was Manchester if you look up the discovery channel web page they where running two shows on the topic of planes i think the one it was in is call air crease investigators if it  not in there try thr other one
