We wouldn't worry about CO2 in the atmosphere anymore...  The few rockets filled with nuclear waste that failed to leave the Earth and burned up in the atmosphere would do the trick.

If you took all the nuclear waste from all the reactors operating in the USA since the 1950s --- it would cover ONE football field.

So yes we could do this --- or better yet send it on a collision course for the sun.
