Someone accidently put a plastic bag in my dryer and it melted and dried. how do i get it off?

  1. have you tried WD40?


  2. try using a chisel to get it off.

  3. Try placing a wet washcloth and a fabric softener sheet in the dryer and letting it run on high for 10 minutes. After the plastic has softened try scraping it off.

  4. try some nail polish remover

  5. get a wallpaper scarper and try.

  6. Maybe try the trick as you would do with a melted candle ( a bit tricky in the dryer, but feasible)...try finding the areas and laying a paper towel or brown paper bag over it and use an iron on it. It will melt the plastic and make it melt to the barrier (paper towel or brown paper bag). One you have most of it off perhaps go over any sticky residue with rubbing alcohol. Wait until that's fully dry before using the dryer.

  7. Heat your empty dryer for a few minutes, then you should be able to wipe of the remains.
