You are a beautiful rose.

Having bloomed from love,

Into loveliness.

Innocence your cloak.

Purity your hat.

I thank Almighty God for this miracle,

Of blessings poured into one little girl.

A gift you are for my little girl, your mother.

How it pleases me to see you both

Share a special bond.

How my daughter smiles at her daughter,

Is not mockable,

But remarkable.

The silent music in your smiles

Strikes a chord in my heart.

You wield so much power over us,

Through every sound,

Smile,

Or cry, we are at your mercy.

I just had to say,

What you already know.

Grandpa loves you Ja-Zara.

  6. An ode from a father to his progeny, how wonderful, my grandfather was a great man, of Lordship and remowned in diplomacy. The greatest compliment I received was from an elder who remarked how like him I was in my ability to weave words and bring peace simply with words and presence....

Stature immense, at whose knee learnt of the world

    A comforting formidable presence within

A world of turbulence and dangers amany

    Father, Grandfather, a towering colossus

A might man of many colours and how adored

All stand aside and awe at hi ethereal splendor

This great and noble man of majesty and laud

To applaud his each utterance, and swoon at his laughter

His heart laugh resonating as a little one held close

To a broad breast of great might, a respite from the turmoil.

They talk of him, his magnificent awe, so adored

By the throng surrounding him, and he is gone

Decades passed and reminisce of his exploits

And yes, life grows and the world changes, the Godly Man.

    Grandfather ….
