  1. If you really get stuck you could have a look in the paper shop at the birthday/mothers day cards......there always some with a bit of poetry that you can maybe change around a bit to suit.

  2. Maybe do something generic, like:

    Your eyes sparkle just like the moon,

    Your face full of life,

    You keep me happy and calm,

    Even in times of strife.

    You gave birth to me,

    A feat like no other,

    And that's why I'm proud to say,

    The beautiful (name), My Mother.

  3. Hi! First of All i want to tell you that these are not my ideas, i copied them from net.

    I Celebrate Your Life

    Mom, your birthday means so much to me;

    To have you in my life another year,

    The time I spent enfolded in your love,

    Each day, each moment with you is so dear.

    I cherish the very special bond we have.

    You lift my spirit in so many ways.

    I celebrate your life; I honor you,

    And send to you my love and care and praise.

    Walking Sunshine

    Dear Mother I love you and want you to know,

    I think of you often wherever I go.

    You lift me up; you're like walking sunshine;

    I am lucky to have a great mother like mine.

    Your endless affection makes you special and rare;

    I'm always amazed by how much you care.

    What you've given to me I can never repay,

    Thank you, Mom, on your (40th, 42nd, etc.) birthday.

    I Owe It All To Mother!

    It’s your birthday, Mom.

    So I will raise a cheer.

    For without you, wondrous person,

    I would not be here.

    Yes, I owe it all to you, Mom.

    From the time that I was small,

    You encouraged me in everything,

    And tried not to let me fall.

    Throughout my life your caring,

    Brightened each and every minute.

    You loved me and enriched my life,

    And I’m so glad to have you in it!

    Great Mom

    Happy birthday, Mom!

    I hope everyone can see,

    What a great mom you’ve always been,

    And how much you mean to me.

    I always think about you,

    In times both good and bad,

    For the things you taught are with me,

    In happy times and sad.

    So on this day I wish you joy,

    Just like you pass around.

    May all your good times multiply,

    And happiness abound.

    Cherished Mother

    Every day since I was born,

    My mother cared for me.

    Now that’s a lot of caring,

    As anyone can see.

    Please, Lord, protect my mother,

    And keep her safe from harm,

    For she is a cherished person,

    With great wisdom, love and charm.

    Lord, it’s my mother’s birthday

    So please, help her to see

    Just how much she means to us,

    Her loving family.

    The Most Special Day

    Mom,Your birthday is

    the most special day of the year,

    because without you I wouldn’t have

    the all encompassing comfort

    of a mother’s unconditional love…

    your love, for me

    You are always there for me, Mom.

    Whenever I need you,

    to cheer me up, make me smile,

    bolster my confidence,

    or sympathize with me and ease my worries,

    you fill up my empty, hurting places

    with your boundless affection.

    Your loving presence in my life

    gives me a reassuring feeling

    of security and peace.

    Thank you, Mom,

    and Happy Birthday!

    Mother, The Best On Your Birthday

    Mother, I wish you the best on your birthday;

    No one has earned it like you.

    You provide the love that makes our dream

    Of a happy home come true.

    Your family loves and reveres its Mom;

    You enrich everything you come near;

    You’re our rock, our beacon and our pleasure,

    And everything we all hold so dear.

    GLAD IF I COULD HELP!

  4. Mom //today and every day you are my rock . And I will go on in life knowing that you &me can  always be togther rocking in the sea of life.

  5. How about spelling her name out?

    For instance if her name is Nancy:

    N is for the Nice things she says

    A is for All the times she's helped me out

    N is for...

    C is for...

    Y is for...

    you get the picture.

    Try and make it as personalized as possible.  It doesn't even need to rhyme.

    Oh, and if you DO manage to come up with a good poem, it's always nice to have it printed and framed so she can read it whenever she wants.
