MY WRITCHUS WRIGGLER

I'd like introduce you to

My writchus wriggler

A beast of a curious kind

I've raised it from an egg

Since I was very young

Its main feature is a

Thirst for righteousness

Of which I'm very proud

If only he didn't

Occasionally satisfy it

With the blood of a stray prophet or two

You see I've hand raised it from

The days when I first

Was studying religion

With all its fascinating

Rules and ways to go about

Stoning people or pointing

Out their particular sins

I was rigorous about things

That didn't apply especially to me

And so it acquired a taste for blood

That lately has become insatiable

At times it even seems to be looking at me

But since I hand raised it

It knows how bitter I am

At least I hope

It is a very beautiful beast

With aspects of both

A venomous snake

And a fighting ****

Which makes me a little afraid in the night

It may be a basilisk

Or cockatrice when fully grown

I feed it on fruits of Pharisee

And seeds of hypocrisy

I need a place to keep it

Where it will not be seen

For I really don't have a license

To own such a splendid creature
